East Orange Holds a Citywide Clean-Up on Saturday, and a Paint and Sip for Youth at the Library on Thursday
East Orange residents can pitch in Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. — meet at 9 a.m. at 44 City Hall Plaza for free supplies, gloves, trash bags, t-shirts and breakfast — after a youth paint and sip at the East Orange library on Thursday evening.

East Orange will hold a citywide clean-up on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to The Jersey Bee's Essex County Daily Buzz, read in full by this desk on Monday. Participants meet at 9 a.m. at 44 City Hall Plaza, and the city will provide free cleaning supplies, gloves and trash bags, along with free t-shirts and free breakfast. Registration is required, according to the listing.
Two evenings earlier, the East Orange Public Library hosts a paint and sip for youth on Thursday, Nov. 5, beginning at 6 p.m., according to the same Buzz listing. Fruit juice will be provided, and registration is not required.
The pair of events gives Essex County's second-largest city a full community week in a single listing cycle: a Thursday evening of art for young people at the library, and a Saturday morning when the whole city is invited to pick up its own streets — supplies, breakfast and a t-shirt included. Residents planning to join the clean-up should register ahead, per the city's listing, and arrive at City Hall Plaza by the 9 a.m. meet time.
