John Washington III Calls the Political System a Joke and Urges Americans to Question the System Itself
John Washington III, a 2028 presidential candidate, argued that Democrats and Republicans operate under the same political system and asked why Americans argue over parties instead of questioning the system both parties run.

John Washington III, a candidate for president in 2028, called the political system a joke and said it is time to question the entire system. He wrote, "HOW LONG ARE WE GOING TO CONTINUE ALLOWING A POLITICAL SYSTEM TO CONTROL OUR LIVES, EXERCISE POWER OVER US, AND TAKE OUR HARD-EARNED MONEY WITHOUT QUESTIONING HOW THAT POWER IS BEING USED?"
John Washington III noted that the country has two different political parties, Democrats and Republicans, but argued that both parties operate under the same political system. Both parties, he wrote, participate in passing laws, collecting taxes, creating regulations and exercising governmental authority over the American people.
John Washington III asked why, if both parties are supposed to be fighting for the people, so many Americans continue to feel they are the ones being taken advantage of. He asked why Americans argue about Democrats and Republicans instead of questioning the system both parties operate under, and he asked who is really benefiting, who is really being represented and who is actually holding those in power accountable.
John Washington III pointed to election-season promises to fight for the people, protect rights, lower taxes and change the system, and asked what happens after those politicians are elected. He asked where the change is, where the accountability is and why the system seems to continue operating the same way regardless of which party holds office. He also stated plainly that he is a member of the Democratic Party, and that membership does not mean he will pretend everything his own party does is right.
